The historic Whallonsburg Grange is located in the heart of the Champlain Valley, 5 miles from Lake Champlain and the village of Essex, New York. It sits at the crossroads of NYS Route 22 and Whallons Bay Road in the hamlet of Whallonsburg. The beautifully restored, century-old building is home to concerts by regionally and nationally known performers, a bi-weekly film series, plays, lectures, classes and workshops throughout the year. In July and August, the Boquet River Theatre Festival children’s summer camp moves in with dozens of young actors spending four weeks rehearsing and presenting musical theater on our stage. All kinds of community events, from annual meetings to Election Night Dinners take place here and the Grange is available for birthdays, weddings, anniversary parties, family reunions, meetings, and other gatherings. The certified commercial kitchen is available to rent for catering, cooking, canning, commercial food production, and farm and community projects.
Welcome to The Depot Theatre. Our historic building is a functioning train station built in 1876, so journeys with The Depot Theatre are both literal and figurative. Our theatrical journeys require no passport or baggage, just your willingness to sit in a comfortable seat in an air conditioned room while our professional artists dazzle you with story, dance and song.
The mission of The Depot Theatre is to entertain, enrich, and educate through professional theatrical arts and related programs based in a historic train station.
The Depot Theatre will have a robust, regional, and year-round presence by creating the highest of quality programs, building strong partnerships, and enhancing community engagement while promoting diversity in all that we do.

We are bringing an old farm back to life in the Adirondacks with good bread. We’re building a bread oven, gonna milk some cows and then brew some beer and who knows what else!
Sound good? Then join us in the journey.
You can find our artisan breads and crackers at Adirondack farmer’s markets, restaurants and food co-ops.
